Starting a drawing

So I always start my drawing with a quick sketch to get the right proportions. Then add the details.

About me

My name is Valentina and I'm a 13 year old artist. I have been drawing for the past two years and I've learned A LOT in that time about techniques and drawing mediums. I create portraits in charcoal. I have worked in graphite but I prefer charcoal because it creates a greater variety in rich values, as well as it's blending qualities are awesome!

This blog is to share drawing techniques, connecting with other young artists and creating a network to share resources for learning, for arts contests and more.
